In ancient Mesopotamia AYA is the Dawn and Fertility Goddess, linked to beauty, youth and sacred relationships. She was the Wife of Shamash the Sun God and the Lord of justice, the divine protector of the mundane reality, the travelers, and the underworld also known as Utu. In the Mesopotamian Mythology, a unity of the lovers took place everyday at Buduhudug mythical mountain during the descendant of the solar disc to celebrate their union!
